Dr. Niraj Yanamandra is a Senior Gynaecologist, Obstetrician & Laparoscopic surgeon in Hyderabad. He is trained widely in India and the United Kingdom. He has over 22 years of experience in the specialty of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. His main areas of interest are Minimal Access Surgery (Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy), also known as endoscopic surgery and High-risk obstetrics. He is a fierce proponent of women’s health and has dedicated himself not only in treating women but also educating them about the issues affecting their quality of life. He always tries to ensure that every patient receives the highest level of care. 

He is personally involved in teaching and training of doctors especially those wanting to train themselves in gynaecological endoscopic surgery. Dr Niraj has completed structured training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from various London deanery hospitals following which he was awarded scholarship from the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) towards training in Minimal Access Surgery (Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy) from the University of Surrey, UK.

He also had training in Laparoscopic surgery in Keil University, Germany and hands-on training in Robotic Surgery at North Texas Hospital in Dallas, USA. Before returning to India, he worked as Consultant in Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Kingston-upon-Thames, London

He has expertise in managing a variety of problems, predominantly infertility-related surgery, surgical management of uterine fibroids, recurrent abortions, total laparoscopic hysterectomy and various other general gynaecological problems including conditions such as polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), bleeding disorders in women, menopausal symptoms, hormone replacement therapy etc. He also has extensive experience in dealing with numerous emergencies, both in obstetrics and gynaecology.

He is very active in Academics and has published and presented papers in Scientific journals and several National as well as International meetings. Apart from publications in Indian journals and text-books, he has also contributed in prestigious textbooks including Oxford Handbook of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Obstetrics & Intrapartum Emergencies which is published by Cambridge University Press. These are widely read in India, UK and other European countries.
