Most gynaecological surgeries can be performed by laparoscopic and hysteroscopic approach without the need for doing the traditional open approach. There are several advantages of laparoscopic surgery. These include quicker recovery, less pain, less blood loss, less need for painkillers, less postoperative adhesions and most importantly small and more cosmetically acceptable scars on the skin.
